For a number of years the German Heritage Foundation of Fredericksburg, Texas has actively been

of the German Club of Fredericksburg that meets weekly on Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. and
includes a buffet luncheon along with German language instruction.

The purpose of the UGAC in Washington is to bring
to light the active and enjoyable activities throughout the U.S. pertaining to the German heritage
and pedagogy. The UGAC now is in its own historic building in Washington and is in the process of
developing a museum, seminars, and a place for Washington visitors to gather to exchange their
insights and experiences within the German heritage. Until recently, Kenn Knopp of Fredericksburg,
Texas, headed up the Texas efforts until his retirement forced because of stroke. He has now been
succeeded by Bill Moltz of the German Association of New Braunfels, Texas, who can be emailed at:

Our mutual goal is to help with the development of the German American Center in the nation's capital
